Junior Year…

Junior year- the year that everyone warns you about because yes, it is as bad as it sounds. Packing on the AP courses in order for colleges to recognize that you are advancing in your curriculum, along with juggling extracurricular activities and sports is very tough. Junior year brought on the nights that I had to pull my first all-nighter, no not on a Saturday night, on a Tuesday-because I got home late from practice and still needed to finish my AP US History terms, prepare my AP English essay, and study for my AP Biology test. I admit, I did cry many nights but I knew that I had to suck up the tears and get through the work because there was no greater feeling and going to bed at 3a.m. knowing you completed all your work. During junior year I had to understand that getting C’s on tests and essays did not mean I had failed, it only enabled me to work harder. You have to keep trying, especially during junior year, because if you let the schoolwork overpower you then, yes, you may fail. So I am here to tell you-do not give up. Even though it may only be October, there is a light at the end of the tunnel…
